Research Associate

Ron has a B.A. in mathematics from the University of Western Ontario, and an M.Math. and Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo, where he was professor of Mathematics until his retirement in 1996. Currently, he is a Research Professor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Ron was awarded the Dr. Rer. Nat. h.c. from the University of Rostock in 2001.

His contributions include more than 200 research papers and books on such topics as cryptography, coding theory, finite fields, and combinatorial designs.

Ron is one of the founders of Certicom and occasionally still provides consulting services.
